There is nothing like a delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie. It’s a classic, and a favourite at our house.
Just a quick note: you can use any kind of chocolate chip based on your preference. Our family like milk chocolate chips the best so that’s what we use, altho we have done semi-sweet and they still taste delicious.
- 1c butter, softened
- 1c white sugar
- 1c packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2tsp vanilla extract
- 1tsp baking soda
- 2tsp hot water
- 3c all-purpose flour
- 2c chocolate chips
- 1c chopped walnuts (optional)
- Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F (175 degree C)
- cream together butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water, add do batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop large spoonfuls onto a prepared baking sheet.
